Despite opposition from the Pentagon, the President, and taxpayers Congress has repeatedly voted to spend billions of your dollars on weapons we don't need. So as Congress continues to defy the President, Secretary of Defense and common sense, you might ask – ‘why are we still building these weapons?’

The answer, according to our new report is that the same members of Congress that are most beholden to large defense contractors for campaign contributions are hard at work putting pet projects into the military budget, even when troops, commanders and the public ask them not to.
